FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It was a busy Friday night for the Fort Wayne Street Department plowing and salting roadways and crews are still continuing to clear the roads throughout the Summit City this morning.  

Crews will remain on Priority One streets, the main arterials, as snow continues to fall, to try and keep them as passable as possible for emergency vehicles.  

A steady snow began to fall last night around 10:00 p.m. Crews were prepared for the storm by converting trucks that were equipped for leaf collection by mounting plowing and salting equipment onto the trucks.
