Convicted Fort Wayne heroin dealer sentenced to 7 years in prison

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man who tried to sell up to $1,000 worth of heroin was sentenced to more than seven years in prison this week.

Tremaine J. Barnett, 32, was sentenced to 92 months in prison and four years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Court documents say that in April 2015, Barnett had and intended to sell more than 100 grams of heroin.

The street value for a gram of heroin in Fort Wayne is $80 to $100, according to Mike Landry with the Fort Wayne DEA.
