Council OK’s Legacy Money for Snow Removal Costs

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): City Council approved a plan to use $1.7 million in Legacy funds to cover a short fall for snow removal from last year.

The ordinance passed last night 6-3, with Councilmen Tom Smith, Mitch Harper and Russ Jehl voting against it saying legacy funds weren't intended for this type of spending.

The city will come up with the remaining $500 thousand of a $2.2 million shortfall.
