Defiance College was on lockdown after gunshots fired near campus

DEFIANCE, Ohio (WOWO): Defiance College was on lockdown for part of the day Monday on reports of a possible shooting.

The college went on lockdown at about 11 a.m. Monday when there were reports of gunfire near North Clinton and Hilton near campus, according to WNWO.

The lockdown lasted about an hour. The Defiance Police Department said a weapon was found and the suspect fled the area.

No injuries have been reported.
