DEFIANCE, Ohio (WOWO): A Defiance man is being charged with murder in the death of a child last week. The Defiance Police Department and Fire and Rescue were called Friday to Corwin Street on report of a five-month-old not breathing. The child was taken to a hospital and died Sunday. Monday police charged 29-year-old James Cooper with murder, a first degree felony, in the child's death. He will appear in court Wednesday morning.
