Deputy Injured in Standoff

SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in jail after a nearly 10-hour-long standoff with police last night, during which he wounded an officer and killed a police dog.

The standoff began after police were called to a Sellersburg home. A woman called saying she needed help getting her husband some mental health treatment.  

After a SWAT team tried to use tear gas to get him out of the house, 31-year-old Joshua Priddy shot an officer’s leg.

He was jailed on counts of attempted murder and other charges.
