Double the Fines if You Park in Disabled Spaces

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): If you illegally park in disabled spaces, a new state law has doubled the fine.

The new state law, which took effect, last week, doubles Indiana's fines for drivers who illegally park in spaces for the disabled. Some seniors and residents with disabilities or health conditions, who rely on the parking spaces, wonder if the higher fines are enough to keep able-bodied people from using the spots. The new law boosts the minimum fine for parking in a disabled spot without a permit from 50 to 100 dollars.
