Police say, a Mercedes Benz, driven by Jonathon Wetzel, was preparing to make a left turn onto C.R. 24 from U.S. 6, when a vehicle, driven by Joseph Sarll, rear-ended the Mercedes. Sarll told police, prior to the collision, he looked down at his cell phone to read a text message. He said, when he looked up, the crash happened simultaneously.

Wetzel was taken to a nearby hospital for complaints of neck pain. Sarll was cited for reading a text message while driving.
