FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Fire Department is investigating an early morning house fire on Ensign Court near Tillman and Hessen Cassel. The call came in at 5:45 this morning, and when they got to the scene, crews found heavy fire coming from the garage and extending into the second floor. They were able to get the fire under control in 20 minutes. The residents, 3 adults and 5 children, were able to get out of the house before firefighters got to the scene and were unharmed. The garage roof collapsed, and the house next door suffered heat damage to the side. No firefighters were injured.
