Family and Three Dogs Make it Out of Fort Wayne House Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Firefighters responded to a house fire on the 400 block of West Sherwood Terrace on Saturday afternoon in Fort Wayne.

Around 3 p.m. crews arrived to smoke and fire coming out of the upstairs bedroom of the home. A total of two adults, six children and three dogs were able to make it out of the home safely.

Due to below-zero wind chills and high winds, it was difficult to get the fire under control. The home sustained heavy smoke and water damage.
