7 Semis, 3 Cars Involved in Toll Road Crash

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A multi-car accident on the Indiana toll road sent a few people to the hospital during winter weather conditions.

On Saturday, fire and rescue crews were called to the 136 mile marker on the westbound side of the toll road before 11 a.m. They arrived to seven semis and three cars involved in the crash.

A semi-driver and a driver of one of the passenger vehicles had to be extracted from their vehicles.

The westbound lanes of the Toll Road were shut down for several hours. Whiteout conditions were reported at the time of the crash.
