Family ID’s Kendallville man found dead in Noble County

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A man was found dead inside a South Albion home, and officials now know who he is.

At about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department found a dead man inside home in the 1900 block of West County Road 100 in South Albion, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department. 

Police say the person had been there for a significant amount of time and weren’t immediately able to identify him. But, family members were able to identify him as Jonny Chambers by tattoos on his body. DNA results are still pending.

Chambers was reported missing on May 29, 2016. His truck was found abandoned in a driveway in Albion.

An autopsy was done on Monday, but the results are still pending. Police are investigating his death. Anyone with information is asked to call the Noble County Sheriff’s Department at 260-636-2182.
