Fire Damages Miner Street Home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A Fort Wayne family was displaced by fire this afternoon on the city’s south side. It took nearly 25 minutes for firefighters to bring a house fire under control this afternoon on Miner Street. Just before 2pm, crews were sent to a home, four residents were alerted by a smoke detector and made it to safety. Investigators say it was a gas fed fire and spread from the kitchen. Residents are being assisted by the Red Cross
