Fort Wayne Among Cities in Pilot Program to Increase College Degrees

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana will be among 20 cities in a pilot program designed to increase the number of local residents with post-secondary credentials. The program is through Lumina Foundation, which has already been working with Northeast Indiana’s “Big Goal Collaborative,” the area’s talent development efforts. Through the initiative, Big Goal Collaborative will be qualified for an allocation of $200,000 over a 3-year period. The money will be tied to “Goal 2025,” which aims to increase the percentage of Northeast Indiana residents with high-quality degrees or credentials to 60% by the year 2025.
