ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne architecture firm has been selected to design the Lafayette Meadows Elementary School expansion, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

MKM architecture + design will design the Southwest Allen County School expansion, adding an additional 32,000-square-feet. The expansion will include an additional physical education space, an expanded cafeteria, two kindergarten classrooms, and a “neighborhood” that includes twelve grade-level classrooms.

The $10 million project also includes the relocation of the playground, plus traffic and parking improvements.

The school will remain open during construction, which is expected to be completed by July 2019.
