Fort Wayne Council President proposes efficiency study of city government

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne official thinks the City Council could stand to be more efficient.

Council President Russ Jehl plans on getting the city to conduct an efficiency study soon, according to the News-Sentinel.

Jehl says it would be the first kind of study the city would have done on itself in years, and adds the problems over their attempt to eliminate the position of Public Safety Director Rusty York last February – only to learn they missed the deadline to do so by a few months – are prime examples why such a study is needed.

He’ll seek it as part of budget discussions for 2017.
