FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne police officer did a good deed for a family in need.

A car broke down Wednesday morning in the middle of the busy Lima and Coliseum intersection. A woman was on her way to an important doctor’s appointment with kids in her car, according to a Fort Wayne Police Department Facebook pose.

Fort Wayne police officer Craig Dennis responded and tried to move the car, but it wouldn’t move.

The woman wouldn’t have been able to pay for both the doctor’s copay and the tow truck. So, Dennis paid for the two truck to move the vehicle to Kendallville. Dennis then took the woman and her two children to the doctor’s appointment.

The woman expressed her gratitude to the officer in the below Facebook post.
