FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): 2015 was a good year for Fort Wayne from a tourism perspective.

Visit Fort Wayne says the city got more than 5.7-million visitors, most of which hit the downtown area for conventions or sporting events. Visit Fort Wayne's John Felts tells NBC33 his group has made efforts to keep in touch with event organizers to find out what worked for them, what didn't, and what can be improved on to keep people coming back to town. 

There were more than 100 special events held in town in 2015, and Felts is hoping to top that number in the year to come.
