FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A prestigious national award is given to a local educator. Wayne High School Language Arts teacher Ginger Giessler is named Indiana’s Milken Educator. 

The was recognized for her work with the innovative New Tech Academy. State Schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz was on hand for the presentation.

It includes a $25,000 cash award.
