Fort Wayne Unveils New Recycling Initiative

The city of Fort Wayne unveiled its new recycling initiative Thursday morning.  Twenty-four new receptacles have been installed throughout the downtown area and Mayor Tom Henry tells our news partner, I-N-C, that the new bins are a creative and cost-effective way to help with litter control. The bins were made possible through capital improvement funding from the Downtown Improvement District and will be emptied weekly through a contract with Republic Services.
