Fort Wayne’s Deal to Buy Aqua Indiana is Moving Ahead

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The city of Fort Wayne’s deal to buy Aqua Indiana is moving ahead.

The city’s Board of Public Works passed plans to hire an accounting firm to aid in the deal.  According to the Journal-Gazette, Umbaugh & Associates was hired to compile the required financial information mandated by the state’s utility regulatory commission.  The contract is worth $96 thousand dollars.

Last month, officials with the city and the water utility came to terms on a $67 million dollar deal for Aqua.
