Frontier Reports Georgetown-Area Outage

Frontier Communications said tonight it had had a service outage to its internet/broadband, TV and phone customers in the Georgetown area of northeast Fort Wayne.

A severe auto accident in the area caused the outage, the company said in a statement.

The statement did not identify the location of the accident or the extent of the outage, but an accident Wednesday damaged a pole at Maysville Road near where Lake Avenue becomes North River Road.

Frontier crews and technicians are on site and prepared to restore service as quickly as possible, the statement said. It said the company did not know how long a complete repair would take.
