FWCS Approves Transportation Changes and New Start Times

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Community Schools has approved changes to the district's transportation system.

The board voted to change school start times, in an attempt to reduce the number of students who receive bus transportation.

Between 4,000 and 6,000 students will have different start times after a $2.5 million cut to their transportation budget.

High school will start at 9:05 A.M. and end at 4:10 P.M. Middle School will be from 7:20 A.M. to 2:15 P.M and Elementary School will be from 8:20 A.M. to 2:55 P.M.

A letter will be sent home by the end of the week to discuss your child's transportation plan. Not all students will be effected by the changes, that are set to begin next school year.
