FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A garage on St. Mary’s Avenue suffered heavy damage after it caught fire just before 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Once fire crews arrived on the scene, they found they detached garage smoking. It took crews seven minutes to bring the blaze under control.

No one was home at the time and no one was injured while fighting this fire, but as crews continue cleanup, St. Mary’s Avenue is closed down between Goshen and State. According to police, that area is projected to be closed until about 6:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
