Gas leak prompts Ball State stadium evacuation

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): A natural gas leak from a damaged line has caused officials to evacuated Ball State University's football stadium and football training complex.

The leak was reported Thursday morning after a construction crew apparently damaged a line near the stadium. No injuries were immediately reported.

Ball State officials asked people to avoid the area on the northwestern edge of the Muncie campus. Officials told those in the nearby alumni center to take shelter in a safe place.
