Girl, 14, Faces Juvenile Charges in Indianapolis Park Attack

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indianapolis prosecutors have filed juvenile charges against a 14-year-old girl in an attack at a park that was captured on video.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office on Thursday filed delinquency charges against the girl after a video of the assault was posted on LiveLeak.com last Saturday. The video showed the teenager hitting and kicking another girl and tossing the victim's younger brother to the ground.

The charges of criminal confinement and battery resulting in moderate bodily injury would be felonies if the girl were prosecuted as an adult. A third charge of battery resulting in bodily injury would be a misdemeanor in adult court.

The girl also faces charges in an unrelated incident that occurred March 14. Prosecutors said she assaulted another person with brass knuckles in that case.
