A Fort Wayne police officer was hurt in a crash last night on city’s west side.  The Journal Gazette says, the officer was headed to a location Hadley Road to check out a reported burglary.  A vehicle turning onto Hadley failed to stop, the officer avoided a collision with the other driver, but in the process drove off the road and hit several trees before coming to a stop.  Passers-by called 9-1-1.  The officer was taken to the local hospital and was last listed in fair condition.
