Huntington and Wabash County animal shelters have closed after more than 70 animals were rescued on Friday and Saturday.

A Wabash home was found to have nearly 30 dogs on the property, all of which were left outside in temperatures below freezing.

The dogs were found to be neglected, showing signs of dehydration and found covered  in feces.

A total of 29 dogs and two cats were taken from the property.

Now, the Wabash County Animal Shelter is in need of help from volunteers and donors to help with covering the care for these animals.

Huntington County Humane Society also saw a large-scale hoarding case, causing their closure on Saturday.

Both shelters are in need of volunteers, material donations and financial donations.
