FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A major road project on I-69 is getting set to start Tuesday.

INDOT says two bridges on I-69 just north of the Union Chapel exit will be constructed over Cedar Creek. That means lane restrictions will be in effect at first while crews work on the shoulders creating crossovers for when the project really gets going in the spring.

Later this spring, the northbound bridge will begin construction, and that means traffic will shift onto the southbound lanes, with two 12-foot lanes remaining open in each direction. Those lane shifts will continue through November.

Use caution when going through that work zone.
