Identical Triplets Born to Central Indiana Couple

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A central Indiana couple is adjusting to life with their newborn identical triplet girls.

Avery, Cassidy and Bentley Doss were born Monday at St. Vincent Women's Hospital in Indianapolis. Parents Amanda and Chad Doss of Franklin says that the girls are doing well, but will probably be in the hospital for eight weeks.

They say the triplets were conceived without assistance after Chad had a vasectomy reversed. Amanda learned in June she was pregnant and an ultrasound in October showed she was carrying triplets.

Avery weighed 3 pounds, 15 ounces; Bentley weighed 4 pounds, 3 ounces; and Cassidy weighed 3 pounds, 11 ounces.

Experts put the odds of identical triplets being born without fertility drugs between 1-in-1-million and 1-in-100-million.
