Ind. Senate Approves Local Aid for Military Bases

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The Indiana Senate has given unanimous approval to a measure allowing local governments to support military bases. The measure sponsored by Sen. Jim Banks of Columbia City would let local governments provide grants or loans for construction and other measures supporting military bases. Banks said Tuesday he is hoping the measure can help Fort Wayne retain the Indiana Air National Guard's 122nd Fighter Wing.
