Indiana education official suggest changes in independent ISTEP report

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): An Indiana education official was allowed to suggest edits and changes to a report summarizing an independent investigation into the state’s new, unpopular standardized student exam.

The Associated Press obtained a Microsoft Word file through a public record request showing that State Board of Education executive director John Snethen suggested altering language in the report.

Indiana was the first state to withdraw from the Common Core standards.
