Indiana Slaying Suspect to be Married in Jail

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indiana judge is allowing a 24-year-old man facing murder charges in connection with four shooting deaths to get married in jail.

The third marriage request for Kenneth “Cody'' Rackemann was granted by the Marion County judge Friday. The quadruple homicide suspect has been petitioning to marry his fiancee while he awaits trial. His request had previously been denied twice.

Police say Rackemann is accused of killing three people during a February robbery. Police say he's also accused of wounding a fourth person and ordering someone else to kill her. Three other suspects are also facing murder and robbery charges.

Marion County prosecutors are seeking the death penalty based on the number of victims and the fact that Rackemann was on parole at the time.

A message seeking comment was left Friday afternoon with a public defender representing Rackemann.
