Indiana Trooper Injured on I-65 Out of Hospital

TAYLORVILLE, Ind. (AP) – A collision that injured an Indiana State Police officer remains under investigation.

Sgt. Noel Houze says 40-year-old Master Trooper Jason Duncan of Columbus was released after treatment for cuts and abrasions at a hospital following the collision Sunday afternoon on Interstate 65 about 30 miles south of Indianapolis.

Houze says Duncan was blocking the right lane of the highway with all of his emergency lights on his patrol car activated shortly  after a crash involving a semitrailer when a car driven by 19-year-old Karson Tays of Columbus struck Duncan's car. Tays was not injured.

Houze says no charges have been filed while the crash remains under investigation.
