INDOT Ready as More Snow is Possible in East Central IN

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of East Central Indiana and officials with INDOT say they’re ready. Current forecasts predict another round of snow to drop up to two inches to the southern parts of the district and less than 1/2 inch further north. INDOT’s top winter priority is to plow and treat its more than 30,000 lane miles of interstates, U.S. highways, and state routes. Each plow route takes around 3 hours to complete with salt helping with melting between passes. The department asks motorists to give snow plows room and not to tailgate or pass as the road will be clearer behind the plow than in front of it.
