CARMEL, Ind. (WOWO): The remaining assets of ITT Education Services are set to be sold off.

A firm in New York and Massachusetts are managing the sales for 30 properties owned by the bankrupt company, as well as 111 leases. Inside Indiana Business reports the sale also includes intellectual property, furniture and equipment.

ITT announced they were closing their doors after the for-profit college learned federal education officials banned the company from enrolling new students who use federal financial aid.

The Education Department said the company had become a risk to students and taxpayers.

The move affected more than 35,000 students and more than 8,000 jobs.
