FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The first poll for the third district Republican primary for Congress shows a three-person race.
State senator Jim Banks currently holds a 6 point lead in the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics poll, which was released Monday.
Among the 400 likely Republican primary voters, Banks leads Kip Tom by a 29.3 percent to 23.3 percent margin.
State senator Liz Brown comes in at third with 21.8 percent of those responding saying they’d support her.
Pam Galloway, Mark Willard Baringer, and Kevin Howell are each polling in single digits, with the last two coming in at a half-percent apiece.
But it’s still anyone’s race. The margin for error is plus or minus 4.9 percent and 20 percent of those responding said they weren’t sure who they plan on supporting.
