PRINCETON, N.J. (WOWO): The 2015-16 ECHL schedule has been released and with it some new opponents on the schedule.

The Komets will make their first-ever trips to Alaska, Brampton, Ontario and Allen, Texas. The season opens Fri., October 16 with the Komets in Kalamazoo. The very next night they'll host the K-Wings at Memorial Stadium.

Overall, 29 of 36 home games are weekend games, including 14 Saturday night games. The K's will play back-to-back games Friday and Saturday five times this season.

They'll play Indianapolis 11 times, five times at Memorial Coliseum. They'll face Cincinnati 10 times with seven on the road. They play Toledo nine times and Kalamazoo 8 times.
