Kroger Donates $1K to Local Salvation Army Kettle

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Salvation Army got a surprise donation to their Red Kettle campaign yesterday.

Fort Wayne Kroger employees volunteered at several locations as bell-ringers for the Salvation Army's annual end-of-the-year fundraiser, but that wasn't the only help the organization got from the grocery chain. Kroger also donated $1,000 to the cause, to be used on hunger relief and education.

Our partners in news at 21Alive report the donation was one of 13 others made throughout locations in Indiana and Illinois.
