FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne asked patients to reschedule Tuesday after an apparent hack, or virus, according to our partners in news at ABC 21.

Officials with Lutheran said the company’s IT Team successfully stopped a virus from infecting the network, but as a precaution, all phones and computers were shut down.

All remaining elective cases have been canceled for the rest of the day, and are being rescheduled, though the hospital is still open and is accepting walk-in patients.

Lutheran Hospital planned to release its status hourly as all computers came back online. The hospital returned to normal operations at 6:30pm Tuesday.
