MENTONE, Ind. (WOWO): Two men are recovering after a major head-on collision near Mentone Thursday morning.

The accident happened a little before 10 A.M. on State Road 25 east of County Road 1000 West. 55 year old George May of Rochester reportedly crossed the center line and hit a car being driven by 17 year old Tyler Landrum of Mentone.

Both May and Landrum had to be airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Both are in serious condition with injuries to their upper and lower extremities, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.

The crash is still under investigation.
