Ex-Indianapolis Colts Linebacker Testifies in His Rape Trial

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Josh McNary has taken the witness stand to deny rape allegations against him, saying he did not force a woman he met a bar to have sex with him.

On Wednesday, 27-year-old McNary testified and maintained his innocence, as he has done since his arrest in January. He faces rape, criminal confinement and battery charges in connection with the Dec. 1 incident after McNary and the woman left a downtown Indianapolis bar and went back to his apartment.

The woman claims that she went into McNary's bedroom to lie down because she was drunk and that McNary had sex with her despite her repeated attempts to push him away.

A trial for McNary began Monday, and jurors are expected to begin deliberating Thursday.
