Man Convicted Of Killing Indianapolis Pizza Driver

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Jurors have convicted a man of fatally shooting a pizza delivery driver during a robbery at an Indianapolis apartment complex.

The Marion County jury reached the guilty verdict on murder charges Wednesday against 27-year-old Shawn Wilson for the January death of 30-year-old Daniel Jaffke. Authorities say Jaffke was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the city's south side.

Jaffke's mother told reporters that she hopes the judge gives Wilson a lengthy prison term when he's sentenced Aug. 29. Donna Jaffke says the verdict doesn't represent true justice since it won't bring back her son.

Jaffke was a 2003 Whiteland High School graduate and a singer and guitarist with several local bands.
