Man in critical condition after early morning shooting in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in critical condition after an early morning shooting in Fort Wayne Friday.

The Fort Wayne Police Department tells WOWO news a man walked into Parkview Hospital’s emergency room at just after 3:45 a.m. after being shot. He was immediately transported to another local hospital by paramedics.

Police say he had been driven to the hospital and dropped off at the ER entrance. The person who drove him there is now being interviewed by detectives.

Officers don’t yet know where the shooting happened, and anyone with information is urged to either call the Fort Wayne Police Department at (260) 427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-7867.
