FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): A man is dead after he was hit by an SUV on Bluffton Road Monday afternoon.

The Journal-Gazette reports the man was driving a moped south on Bluffton Road between Brooklyn and Engle Monday afternoon. He was hit by an SUV when it turned left in front of the moped. 

The driver of the moped was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The southbound lanes of Bluffton were closed for some time Monday afternoon because of the accident.
