Man in Critical Condition after Crash at Van Buren and Jefferson

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash at the corner of Van Buren Street and Jefferson Boulevard.

Fort Wayne police got the call about a car versus motorcycle accident around 3:05 p.m. Monday afternoon. Once on the scene, they found the driver of the motorcycle in the middle of the roadway unconscious. He was taken to the hospital where he was determined to be in critical condition.

According to police, the motorcyclist was northbound on Van Buren approaching Jefferson when the car traveling southbound on Van Buren attempted to go left and turned into the path of the motorcycle and they both collided in the intersection.  No one in the car was injured. In the meantime, police are still investigating.
