Man Sentenced in Stabbing Death of Sister

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): An Angola man who pleaded guilty to killing his sister, will serve 60 years in prison

Tuesday, 49-year-old Jeffrey Peppler was sentenced in Steuben Superior Court. According to court documents, he stabbed his 52-year-old sister Paige in the home they shared in rural Steuben County.

His mother, 72-year-old Linda Peppler was critically injured in the confrontation at the home near Loon Lake outside Angola.

Under terms of the plea deal, a charge of attempted murder was dropped. The case was scheduled to go to trial in January.
