Man’s Body Found in Wabash River, Ruled a Homicide

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) _ A coroner has ruled homicide in the death of a man whose body was found by two fisherman in the Wabash River.

Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos told the Tribune-Star the body recovered Sunday evening is that of a middle-aged white male. She says his body had been in the river “for a few days.''

The cause of death hasn't been released. Amos says the man has not yet been identified.

 

The Vigo County Sheriff's Department says the body was found south of the Interstate 70 bridge in Terre Haute. It says the man was believed to be between ages 35 and 55.
