Marijuana Suspect Draws 20 Years for Rape

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Jarrod Vroom, who is already facing a five-year federal prison sentence for growing marijuana, was sentenced Thursday to 20 years behind bars for rape.

According to the Journal Gazette the 40-year-old was charged with the crime in November, accused of sexually assaulting a woman, who functions at the mental capacity of a 4-year-old and cannot legally consent to sex.

Vroom pleaded guilty to rape in July, and Thursday, an Allen County judge sentenced Vroom to 20 years in prison, according to court files.
