FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) –Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District saw a lot of contention and acrimony as Super PACs, large political action committees, overwhelmed the political landscape with negative advertising, potentially suppressing voter turnout.

After a close race, Tim Smith narrowly lost to Marlin Stutzman, who’d given up the congressional seat to run for U.S. Senate in 2016, but lost to Todd Young in a primary.

Stutzman will now face Democrat, Kiley Adolph, in the November general election.
